From the experience of past years we have designed the following form for our PenPal participants.  

Dear Pen Pal,

We are so glad you are joining our intergenerational pen pals! We will be pairing you up with a partner for this fun way to get to know someone new and to tell them about you.

From November through June, everyone who participates will write a letter once a month to their Pen Pal and can expect to receive a letter once a month from their Pen Pal.  Ple;ase fill in the agreement below to sign up for the program.

• The Jenks Center, Suzanne Norton for [senior pen pals]

• McCall Middle School, Christine Austin for [student pen pals]

Please check the following statements:

____I know that my pen-pal will be expecting my letter so I will make sure to write it each month.

____I understand that I will be given a packet each month – with writing supplies.

____I agree to provide my letter and receive my pen-pal’s letter through The Jenks or McCall. 

____I recognize that these letters are gifts and as such, I will be respectful and hopeful. If anything about this program or anything in any letter is concerning or uncomfortable, I will contact the coordinator from The Jenks or McCall.
