Letters Trellis returns to the Winchester Farmers Market to celebrate Pen Pals. For four years, we have been coordinating an exchange of letters between Jenks seniors and McCall sixth grade students. The intergenerational interaction has revealed insights both due to different ages and through letters that are no longer routine.
Some seniors who have participated multiple years have been curious about the long-term impact of the letter writing.
Visitors to Letters Trellis have spoken about the importance of the personal exchanges in their letter writing, shared from an early age and lasting many years.
Whether you have participated in our programs or other Pen Pal activities, please stop by our Letters Trellis tent and tell us about your experiences.
As always, please take a moment and write a letter with materials and postage available at our tent, at no cost to you. We are funded by generous local grants and donations.
22 letters and postcards were written and mailed today !
If you have participated in the McCall Middle School - Jenks Senior Center PenPals program, or another Pen Pals elsewhere, please feel free to respond to the Questionnaire below; for your convenience just scan the QR code and complete it online.
